In anticipation…walking into the theatre…not just ANY theatre, but a screening room ON the Disney Studio’s Lot (which had been fixed up just for this premier of The Princess and the Frog). My wonderful friend, Laurel, and I bought tickets a while back for this “Ultimate Disney Experience”. If I hadn’t been so horribly sick..with my deep manly voice, I might have enjoyed it a lot more…but I still had a blast! I did my best to fight through the flu…and it was spectacular. I’d say that overall, the movie was great! It was funny and had really lovely music..AND it made me even happier to watch because it was set in New Orleans…and I JUST came back from there about two weeks ago. I appreciated it all the more because of that trip. The only thing I didn’t like about it was the eerie “Shadow Man” villain…he throroughly CREEPED me out. I mean..he’s now maybe 2nd on my list of most disliked disney villains (Snow white’s old evil lady is #1).
Beauty and the Beast will always be my favorite Disney Princess movie!![]()
And…I must say…that Prince Naveen made my heart skip a beat. I didn’t dig his personality at first..but it got much better. Hands down, he is my favorite prince. I have never been so attracted to a Disney Prince. All the rest for me were just… eh.
I feel like a weirdo…I’ve never thought ANY animated character was cute. This can’t be good. He’s fictional.
Don’t judge me. You know all you ladies have weird animated crushes…
Anyway…the experience was even more amazing because it was the FIRST time Disney has opened up the studios to the public. Laurel and I were able to get a tour and see so many rough sketches for several movies. There is even a building with HUGE statues of the seven dwarfs placed as if holding up the building (since the entire profits from the Snow White movie was used to fund the creation of the studios).
At the end of the night, my voice was worse, but I didn’t care because I had an amazing time and remembered just how much magic Disney can create.
Of course I took my camera along… The tour guy didn’t give us enough time to really get the best photos, but I did my best with the time I was given.
Enjoy!![]()
