THE SUN SETS, BUT IT ALSO RISES

My favorite times of day are sunrise and sunset. Clouds make the sky more beautiful to me. No matter how many sunrises and sunsets there are, I never get bored of them. My real love for photography came from capturing sunsets. The beauty about them is that no two are alike. They’re always different. The shadows, the colors that envelope the sky…they’re priceless. If I’m driving, I snap photos of them with my camera phone. I don’t even do anything with them except maybe look at them later. I guess it’s only for the mere pleasure in capturing the unique fleeting moments of calmness as the sun falls in the sky that bring me joy. HAPPY HAPPY do they make me! Then there is the sunrise… I think the sunrise is taken for granted because so few take the effort to spend time enjoying them. Who can blame them…you gotta get up prrrreetty early in the morning. But, that’s what makes them special.  Sunrises need some love too. They are wonderful because they often represent beginnings. The beginning of the day…through the cold nights, the sun peaks over the horizon to slowly bring its warmth. The sky is lit up in all its glory before you know it.

I like to think of myself as a sunrise.

…The sky is lit up in all its glory before you know it…

    …before you know it

A sunset from Griffith Park Observatory. We drove up to the top, just in time...and I squealed with excitement. More photos on the way!
