I cannot not even put into words how amazing Eugene and Angela’s wedding at St. Brendans Catholic Church and the Marvimon came out. There was so much going on in only a certain amount of time… and it was absolutely beautiful! So Colorful, so stylish, and so adorable. Seeing Eugene & Angela together just makes me happy. And my oh my are these two sooo talented. They are bothgraphic designers and you can totally tell in their style and attention to detail (which I love and appreciate since I’m like that too!) Angela designed a lot of the wedding and made such wonderful details… it was hard to keep track and not want to share it all. Which is why I had so much trouble choosing my favorites for this post. The Marvimon itself has SO much going on in terms of style and I love the atmosphere. Beautiful brick and greenery all around. And of course such amazing execution and coordination by the wonderful Sweet Emilia Jane along with the other amazing vendors. I think one of the other elements I absolutely fell in love with at this wedding was the florals by The Little Branch…. I mean.. you can’t miss it. Those colors, those flowers… LOVE them. Sorry there are so many… but I just couldn’t cut it down any more… I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed photographing Eugene & Angela!

I purchased a Contax 645 for my film shooting and I had so much fun playing with it. I have been shooting more film and plan on continuing a hybrid of both digital and film. I especially love the film for my creative shots. I had a great opportunity to be an additional shooter for lead / primary Ashleigh Taylor Photography.. shooting ALL film! I shot these images for her, and had a blast working along side her, she’s loads of fun! Ryan & Rita’s wedding took place at the Castle Green in Pasadena (only blocks away from my studio ON Green St.!) and it was a beautiful ceremony / reception. It was also the day I fell in love with my Contax 645…. and I am happy to say I can shoot weddings with it (and my digital to of course). I always love capturing weddings in such a romantic and elegantly beautiful way. So pretty! I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from the day!

Oh how I love San Francisco! The food, the sights, the smell of the ocean breeze. I LOVE when clients fly me in to photography engagement sessions. A lovely little treat since I got to also photograph Jack & Evelyn’s San Francisco City Hall marriage ceremony. I am photographing their big celebration wedding this year also and I can’t wait. We also got to shoot their engagement session all around San Francisco… and I fell in LOVE with the Exploratorium. I could photograph engagement sessions at the exploratorium forever and a day… Always love the sights and architecture… and the colors… I could go on and on. We had some fun trolley photos too. Enjoy my absolute faves from the day! I am in love with the colors toooooo

It was such an action packed day yesterday photographing Eugene & Angela’s wedding! I just wanted to post a few sneak peek photos before today’s engagement session at Griffith Observatory & before I jet off to San Francisco tomorrow for yet another engagement session / city hall ceremony. Shooting everyday definitely can be a lot on the body, but when you see such beautiful images as a result it makes me giggle inside. I just wanted to take this post to share just how amazingly talent my friend Elaine is over at Papermade Design. I mean… really. I think she is so incredibly good at what she does. Not just because she’s good, but because she takes pride in doing a great job with such care and detail. Not only that but I always enjoy our silly chats. I had fun photographing her work and I love how each of them have such unique identities. If you need invitations for your wedding or any event at all, stationery, or any specialty items.. definitely contact her and show her some love. She’s worth every penny! She styled each shot and such cute details to really embody the theme of each design. Might I add…I LOVE letterpress… look at these beauties!! I’m sure you’ve seen the gorgeous bride from my previous post… well… here are the bridal boudoir photos we took while in Maui… on Sabrina’s wedding day! She is just absolutely beautiful, but her outer beauty cannot match just how amazing she is on the inside. Such a sweet heart and wonderful friend :) Thanks for letting me post some ;)

My very last wedding of 2012 was such a special one! Couldn’t have thought of a better way to top off an amazing year in weddings than to travel to Maui, Hawaii to do the job I love so much.What was even better was to have gained two friends who have such amazing genuine caring hearts and down to earth spirits. Grant & Sabrina I think you guys are sooooo great! :) And you crack me up ALL the time.

One of the best compliments to me is to have another photographer ask you to be THEIR photographer…. and I was so very honored to have been a part of this special day. Mr Grant Yoshino is an amazing fashion photographer himself and Sabrina might as well be his very special model… because she is absolutely stunning :) I really admire his work and his ambition as a photographer. So it was such a pleasure that they asked me to be their wedding photographer. Their love is the cutest thing and they both make me laugh so so much. Their sense of humor and such sweet hearts were just the icing on the cake. I can remember seeing that beaming smile on Grant’s face as his lovely bride walked down the aisle to him… and the tears that welled up in Sabrina’s eyes in that same excitement. What was even more precious was that he brought along his own point and shoot film camera, which he carried around with him the whole day. I giggled each time he brought it out to sneak a couple shots in because it was just so sincere and adorable to me. It truly showed just how in love he is with Sabrina! Once a photographer… always a photographer at heart…even on your wedding day! I laughed even more… because he carried his film in the same gallon sized ziplock bag that I was carrying all of my film in everywhere I went. Great minds think alike! Keepin’ it simple with the baggie :) I had such a fun trip and everyone was so fun to meet!

You can see all of the film photographs from the day here. … and don’t even get me started on how much my camera loved to take photos of Sabrina! Their ceremony took place at Gannon’s Restaurant in Wailea on the lovely island of Maui, Hawaii. They continued their reception celebration at Sarento’s on the Beach. It was such a fun night, even the moon couldn’t help but show off a smile ;) Please enjoy all the highlights that I couldn’t help but share. I had a bit of a hard time making up my mind for my favorites as usual… enjoy!
